K10 cannot engrave patterns on stainless steel

Note: To engrave stainless steel, the engraving machine must be 5W or above.

1.There are three types of stainless steel surface treatment processes: frosted, brushed, and mirrored. If you want to engrave mirrored stainless steel, you need to use a marker to paint the stainless steel surface black, because after the laser hits the mirrored stainless steel surface, the energy will be reflected back to the laser head, which may damage the laser head (as shown in Figure 1).

2.In the Cutlabx PC software, double-click the color layer to open the parameter setting interface (as shown in Figures 2 and 3)

3.Increase the filling spacing: change from the default 0.1mm to 0.05mm (the filling spacing indicates how many lines are engraved on a 1mm width. The default 0.1 means 10 lines are engraved on a 1mm width. If it is set to 0.05, 20 lines are engraved on a 1mm width. The parameters for different hardness materials are slightly different), reduce the engraving speed, and increase the engraving power (as shown in Figures 4)

4.The color of the engraved image must be processed into pure black(as shown in Figure 5), because the control software will automatically identify the grayscale color of the engraved image, and the depth of the image color will change the laser power (the laser will burn lightly in the light-colored part of the image, and 100% power will burn in the dark part, and the laser power will automatically change according to the depth of the image color). When engraving stainless steel, the engraved image must be processed into pure black, because stainless steel is relatively hard and requires 100% laser power output to engrave.
